What a great winter we are having, cold enough to be winter but warm days for a nice break. Let’s hope it continues and we can start knitting for spring!
OPEN KNIT: Thursday, February 9 and 23
Come and start a new project, get help with a current project or just enjoy the company of knitting with friends. All day, 10a-8p. $5.00 for instruction appreciated.
Vicki’s work days:
Jan. 31 (open til 7p), Feb. 2, 9, 10 (evening til 8), 11, 14, 16, 21, 23, 25, 28.
Knitting With Fabric Class:
Vicki will be teaching how to cut fabric for knitting at the Gathering Room Quilt Shop in LaGrange. Feb 13, 6-9 and Feb 18, 10-1
I believe the classes are not full so call the Gathering Room if you are interested.
Chocolate Crawl: Feb. 10, 5-8 or Feb. 11, 10-5
Come to LaGrange and join our Chocolate Crawl for a pre-valentine day tasting. For just $5.00 you will go from store to store for a chocolate and store specials. We will of course be open, knitting, eating chocolate and a special as well!

Sock Knitting Class:
Tuesday, Feb. 21 10a or 5p, Sat. Feb 25 at 9a
We will learn to knit socks on the Magic Loop by working a small miniature sock, baby size, fingerless gloves if you prefer. Come check out the new sock yarn.

“Tune in to the 2012 Super Bowl on Feb. 5 and you just may see more hand knits that helmets on and around the gridiron. That’s because Super Scarves has kicked well into overtime. Super Scarves is a community-outreach program spearheaded by the Indianapolis Super Bowl Host Committee to accessorize and warm the necks of game-day volunteers with knit and crochet scarves in blue and white, Colts colors. The initial goal of 8,000 scarves is up to around 12,000 and counting.”
